The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is consulting with industry and government stakeholders to inform the next iteration of the Hosting Certification Framework (HCF).
Under the HCF, the DTA assesses and certifies providers to ensure the appropriate level of privacy, sovereignty, and security controls are in place to protect Australian Government data that is sensitive or classified up to the 'Protected' level.
The DTA is consulting on the reform of the policy - originally released on 5 March 2021 - to incorporate feedback from stakeholders on improvements and to examine the feasibility of expanding the scope of the HCF.
Consultation activities
Consultation activities are expected to run until April 2023. These activities will include a variety of in-person and digital deep dive sessions, surveys, concept testing and consultation papers. For more information on the HCF, please visit www.hostingcertification.gov.au.
