Unique Student Identifier (USI)

The USI gives people access to all their nationally recognised training records undertaken since 2015 in one place. As well as helping students keep track of their training qualifications, the USI provides more precise data to help ensure that vocational education is providing the skills businesses need.

Welfare Payments Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT) Program

The WPIT Program has reduced the time taken for students to submit a claim for Youth Allowance from 36 minutes to 12 minutes. In the last year alone claim processing times have decreased from 26 days to around 21 days.

Digital Identity Public Beta - Provider Digital Access Portal Medical (PRODA)

Medical providers using the PRODA portal can use a Digital Identity. PRODA services include Aged Care provider portal, Child Care Subsidy Scheme, Health Professional Online Services and National Disability Insurance Scheme.

E-log platform modernisation, internal interfaces and enterprise data sharing

Rights in One (RIO)

IP Australia’s Rights in One (RIO) program consolidated around 30 legacy ICT systems into a single platform and uses a new global best practice artificial intelligence search capability. With this we became one of the first intellectual property offices in the world to integrate image recognition and search technology.

Roll out tablet devices to all staff

This change supports a more flexible working environment and allows the department to better respond to contemporary working requirements, such as the ability to remain securely connected to departmental data stores while operating from different locations and the ability to quickly stand-up new and/or short-term working arrangements.
