myGov gives people a simple and secure way to access government services online.

These services include:

  • Australian Taxation Office
  • Centrelink
  • Child Support
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs
  • Medicare
  • My Aged Care
  • My Health Record
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • National Redress Scheme
  • State Revenue Office Victoria
  • Victorian Housing Register Application

myGov features include a single login that provides access to all these services and a secure inbox to receive correspondence from participating government departments. You can also update your address and contact details and share these with Australian JobSearch, Australian Taxation Office, Centrelink, Child Support and Medicare.

Our role in myGov

The Digital Transformation Agency and Department of Human Services (DHS) are jointly responsible for myGov.

The DTA is the business owner and is responsible for:

  • governance
  • strategy
  • policy
  • user experience
  • changes to the service arising from policy objectives or user needs
  • adding new government services

The DHS is responsible for:

  • technical and account issues
  • operation and performance
  • implementing designs
  • technical development

Recently, we worked with the DHS to deliver a new look and feel for myGov. The DTA and DHS will continue to work together to add more services and make myGov simple and easy to use.

How to use this platform

Members of the public

To sign in or create an account go to myGov.

If you have a question about myGov or are having issues with your account, call the myGov helpdesk on 13 23 07. Select Option 1.

The myGov helpdesk is open from:

  • 7:00am - 10:00pm, Monday - Friday and
  • 10:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday - Sunday in local Australian time zones.

From outside Australia

Contact us by calling +61 1300 1MYGOV (1300 169 468). Select Option 1.

If you have a question about the services you access from your myGov account, please contact that government department directly.
