Digital Transformation Strategy
The Digital Transformation Strategy (DTS) has been replaced by the Digital Government Strategy (DGS).
Digital Government Strategy
The DGS continues to support Government’s focus on delivering government services for the digital age. Visit the Digital Government Strategy for further updates and information about the ongoing work of this vision.
The Digital Transformation Strategy was released with a Roadmap of initiatives to improve government services. From 2018 – 2021 the Digital Transformation Strategy (DTS) was implemented and updated to help Australia achieve its ambitious vision of being a top 3 digital government in the world by 2025, to deliver our vision and implement the 3 strategic priorities of a government that is:
- easy to deal with
- informed by you
- fit for the digital age.
In 2020 major unprecedented events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the bushfire crisis and severe weather events highlighted a real need for Australians to be able to interact with government in a simple and accessible way. It has also demonstrated the importance for government to support Australians ‘in the moment’ through the provision of information and services at the time and place it is needed.
