Why be part of the Digital Professional Stream?
If an APS employee wants to grow and advance their digital career, the Digital Professional Stream is the way to do that. It’s all about knowing how we can understand and support APS employees to be the best digital professional they can be.
We have mapped more than 150 digital roles. Some examples include Architecture, Service Design, Interaction Design and Software Engineering. Through our digital career pathways, we can help upskill people into critical roles.
Each profession will equip people to make deliberate and informed decisions about their digital careers. We are also working with APS agencies to increase the numbers of new recruits into core APS digital roles, through our Emerging Talent apprentice, cadet and graduate programs.
More than 10% of SES in the APS have participated in the DTA and APSC Leading in a Digital Age leadership program. The aim is to help participants become better leaders. This also enables digital transformation and improves digital ways of working.
So whether they are seasoned professionals or starting out, the professional careers of APS digital practitioners is a high priority.
